OVER 50 AND HAVE TO START AGAIN

what would happen to you if say, your 50 or over, loose your job, go bankrupt , and have to start from nothing??? maybe your lucky or just smarter than alot of us and this dreaded scenario has never happenned to you. but for those out in this vast universe who have experienced hitting rock bottom or are about, near or over the age of 50 what do you do ? is there anyone besides me in this crazy world who has lived this nightmare? if so please answer. sometimes i feel like the last man on the island , calling out from an ancient radio receiver to anyone who will answer my last pleas. nobody answers. lonely. it is very very lonely and often hopeless. but then just when i am about to pack it in , i hear a faint voice and my spirits pick up, reminding me maybe someone is out there, really reminding i have to pick my self up and find who is out there. i experience again the chant, "YOU GO YOU GET, YOU GO YOU GET, YOU GO , YOU GET", over and over in my head. what is wrong with me , i start to angy with myself. i am not a looser .
its up to me. in my case, like i have said in an earlier blog , my family chanted in my brain. my family reminded me through their love that I must take charge of me. they can love me, but i must and only i, make it happen for me. it is still MY LIFE. no matter how much our lives have blended with one another, i am still an individual, who is most qualified to help me-if i really want to. fortunately i did. who chanted in your brain before it was too late, "YOU GO YOU GET, YOU GO YOU GET"?
the first years after my bankrupcty were a nightmare i hope to forget. the day i faced my creditors was like facing the nazi gestapo . who words were bullets of torture. i certainly do not blame them. they had a role to play or job to do and they did it.at times i never believed i would recover. when i left the courtroom , visibly shaking, ready to check into the nearest er, i asked my lawyer that i heard some people go through this several times in their lives. i foolishly asked, how was this possible, i barely survived and i mean barely, this one. he answer was terse and to the point, "because you care and they don`t" . unfortunately you my friend , have what they call
FEELINGS. they can block them out, you cannot.
i had to remember what my lawyer said. it reminded me of me. i had to remember not because
i could never relive this again , but because i had to know me in all i did. if i was honest with me
then i can really move forward. still the first two years felt like a 100 years. i hated almost everyday, even though i found a good job and had my family. i hated me. i hated how far i had fallen and still abit dazzled at what happenned to me. is there anyone out there who understands this , who has ever lived something like this??? my live continues. see you soon.
